Now that fall is in full swing, I've been switching up my makeup routine to include berry, plum, and deep pink shades. The majority of my blush collection consists of coral, peach, and orange blushes (see the collection post here) so I did a bit of research and picked out some new shades to try for fall! I only own a handful of plum and berry blushes and I'm slowly beginning to add to my collection of fool proof autumn shades.
MAC Plum Foolery Blush (pan form: $17 for 0.21 oz.) is a berry plum with a hint of pink and a golden shimmer/sheen. The golden sheen is subtle in the pan but becomes more apparent the more it's blended and buffed into the skin.
MAC Sheertone Shimmer blushes have quickly become my favorite finish from the line - the shimmering quality of these blushes give cheeks a healthy luminous glow which is perfect for every season.
Although Plum Foolery is a Sheertone Shimmer blush, it can be quite intense (see swatches at the end of this post!). If you want a more sheer effect, try applying Plum Foolery with a stippling brush to achieve a softer, more natural look. Plum Foolery lasts on my cheeks for about 7 hours before I notice slight fading around the edges. I'm excited to pair this blush with a neutral eye look and a bold lip! What's your favorite fall blush?
