Benefit Rockateur Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Benefit Rockateur Blush ($28 for 0.17 oz.) is the newest addition to Benefit's Box o' Powder line up. It's a warm rosy beige pink with a hint of peach and a slight shimmering finish. I've always had a soft spot for Benefit's Box o' Powders as Dallas was the very first blush I purchased from the line and I've been hooked ever since. I was beyond excited when I heard that Benefit was adding yet another blush to their repertoire so I picked up Rockateur as soon as I could get my hands on it.
Rockateur is oh so beautiful both in the pan and on the cheeks. It has a sparkling overlay which is in fact an overspray that disappears after the first use. As with all of the Box o' Powders, Rockateur comes equipped with a small brush. Personally, I love using these brushes for contouring, they fit perfectly in the hollow of my cheeks and create a beautifully sculpted contour.
The texture of this blush is incredibly silky and soft. It's by far the smoothest, most buttery blush I own. It has good color payoff but those with skin tones darker than medium may need to layer this shade in order for it to show up. Rockateur lasts about 8-9 hours on me before starting to fade.
Overall, I really like this blush but I'm not in love with it. I was hoping that it would pack a little more punch either with more shimmer or more color intensity. Furthermore, Rockateur only contains 0.17 oz. of product which is much less compared to Benefit's standard Box o' Powders which contain 0.28 oz. of product for the same $28 price tag. I remember when Benefit powders contained a whopping 0.42 oz. for the same price! Despite the downsize in the amount of product you get, I still recommend checking this one out!
