Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Memento Lip Tar ($18.00 for 0.33 oz.) is described as a "midtone pink plum". It's more of a mauve pink with subdued coral tones rather than a pink plum. If you've considered trying OCC Lip Tars, Memento is a great color to try - it's the perfect shade for everyday wear. Memento is completely opaque and it lasted 6 hours on me - much longer than a typical gloss or lipstick. It didn't dry out my lips nor did it nourish them.
Lip Tars are dispensed from the tube like a gloss and dry down to a satiny matte finish. They come equipped with a lip brush for easy application - all you need are a couple of drops, a little goes a long way! Do make sure that you prep your lips before application because the creamy consistency of Lip Tars can settle into lip lines. When Memento began to wear off, I noticed the product clinging to the dry patches on my lips. I tried to reapply more, but the liquid clumped up due to the existing product. My tip? Completely remove the existing product and apply a fresh layer of Lip Tar.
I'm glad I gave OCC Lip Tars a shot. I love the innovation and the fact that they last for a considerable amount of time. I do plan on trying out more colors so that I can try mixing shades! OCC Lip Tars are 100% Vegan and Cruelty-Free.
