I've been meaning to do a Monthly Beauty Favorites feature for some time now and this month I've finally gotten around to it! I love reading blog posts and watching YouTube videos to see what others are currently into. Favorites posts and videos are a great way to discover new products that you may have otherwise been unfamiliar with. So without any further ado, here's what I've been loving this month!
Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer Star - This product is perhaps the most well-known highlighter in the beauty community - and for good reason! Amber Diamond is a pressed powder highlighter with a gorgeous shimmering finish. It emphasizes the skin and leaves your complexion looking naturally radiant. I love dusting it on my cheekbones for a subtle glow. (Review coming soon!)
theBalm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder - I purchased this anti-shine, oil-absorbing translucent powder on HauteLook several months ago and I haven't looked back since. It's perfect for setting concealer as well as foundation and it's virtually invisible making this powder a winner for all skin types.
Tarte Flush Amazonian Clay Blush - By far one of the most pigmented blushes I own, Flush gives gives my cheeks a naturally healthy glow that lasts all day. Be sure to use a light hand when applying!
Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow - Naked, a nude matte, is such a versatile shade - I use it every single day to fill in my brows. I also use Naked as a transition and contour shade when doing my eye makeup. It makes blending simply effortless.
MAC Cream Soda Blush - If you read my blog regularly, then you know that I'm a fiend for peach and coral blushes. Cream Soda, which is a neutral peach, has been my go-to shade for the past month. It pairs so well with any eye or lip look that it's hard to put this blush down!
MAC Naked Pigment - Another very well-known beauty product, Naked Pigment (described as a "fleshy beige with pearl") is a great choice for a natural eye. I normally swipe it across the lid and use a darker color in the crease for extra dimension. Naked Pigment also makes a pretty brow bone or cheek highlight.
MAC Betty Bright Lipstick - A perfect shade for spring! This pinky peach lipstick will be a staple in my makeup bag during the upcoming months. It's fully opaque in one layer but I normally dab it on for a more subtle look.
Tarte MultiplEYE Lash Enhancing Primer - I was always skeptical about lash primers until I received the Tarte MultiplEYE Primer in a sample. I was so surprised at how this primer enhanced and lengthened my lashes that I bought a full size. Tarte claims that the MultiplEYE Primer increases lash volume and length by 739%. I'm not quite sure how they came up with that number, but let me tell you, this stuff works like magic! I don't have very long or full lashes but with this primer, it looks like I'm wearing falsies. Definitely worth the money!
